 I have this love/hate relationship with you right now

We will start with the hate, I hate you for making me take an extra long lunch break which caused me to get in trouble because I just couldn't put down the book. And in addition, I was reading it before bed the other night, only to have vivid nightmares. I also am sure that all of the other women getting their nails and toes done got a big laugh out of me exclaiming "NO FUCKING WAY!" when I finally got to the end while I was getting my pedicure.

And now for the love:

 Your descriptions spoke right to my imagination. You even made death and panic into something eloquent with your use of words. I loved the way you included your notes back and forth in there. I felt as though I was right there listening to him tell you the story to transcribe.

 Thank you for writing this book. It was a true pleasure to read it. I can't wait for you to transform another ordinary plot into a magnificent story.

 Your book was the best I have read in a long time.

It was crazy, and the ending blew me away something I would have never expected. When I read it, I listened to the album The Ugly Organ by: Cursive and the album went so well with the book it almost seemed like they were made together.

 I have to agree with everyone on here. I bought the book on Monday, I believe, it was the best read I have had it a while. The only regret you will have after buying this book is that you will wish you would of gotten some more for your friends.

The book was hard to put down. It hooks you from start to finish and the ending will blow your mind. The details to every little event are great and will really keep you interested. You will enjoy this book. I can't wait to read it again.

Really I couldn't believe how into it I still got the second time around. Usually it's not like that for me - seeing as how I know the conclusion of it already. But I guess this is just one of those incredible books that I will have in my collection for the rest of my life and never get bored of reading  ...

 So I just finished reading The Little White Trip by Peter Joseph Gallagher, and I must say that I enjoyed it thoroughly.  It's very well written; the attention to detail kept me hooked until the end.  I finished reading it and just kind of looked at the back cover thinking what the fuck.  I wish I could tell you how it ended, but I won't spoil it because you HAVE to read this book.

 I bought your book on the boardwalk the other day, well, the first day I pawned my sale off on that couple from out of town and promised I would come back the next day, which I'm sure you hear a lot, then the people never show. I did come back the second day, though, and am thrilled that I did.

  Anyway, WOW! I'll be honest, I didn't have HIGH expectations, although the blurb on the back was interesting enough, but sometimes that's the best part. Not in this case. I read half the book that first day on the beach and loved how you interspersed the e-mails and firsthand accounts of what happened and laced it through the ongoing story line. It heightened the sense of anxiety and expectation, and got me involved in getting to know these characters and what (I didn't know at that point) terrible things were about to happen to them.

Then things came up, I am on vacation after all, and I didn't get to pick it up again until yesterday, and at that point, the story didn't just roll along, it climbed and reached and extended and pushed, it thrilled and captivated and repulsed, my eyes were popping out, I couldn't believe the torment these characters went through, and then, the last twist, a total surprise, and equally disturbing, moving, and unbelievable.

 I intend to get back to the beach to buy another copy for a friend of mine, like you said about the guy in Canada, I think it was, one person reads it, and then spreads the word. This viral marketing is, well, contagious, as it should be.

 On vacation, I brought Kurt Vonnegut's "Cat's Cradle" to read on the beach, but I easily sacrificed that for yours. And Mr. Vonnegut is one of my favorite writers.

 I wish you well, and if I can put you in touch with anyone in the literary field, or sing your praises to people I run into in that world, I will certainly do so. And I honestly think you can and should get a grant and some funding to work on your next project as well. You have a wonderful style, your storytelling is intriguing, and the content was entertaining, to say the very least.

 Wow, I have got to say, that was one of the best books I have read in a while, I couldn't put it down, I read the whole thing last night. I couldn't believe the ending...and that's a real story? it's just crazy! but anyway I loved it and I am going to tell everyone I know about it!

 I bought your book a few days ago on the beach and I honestly found it to be the best book I've ever read. I found the character development along with the haunting imagery to be very captivating. I found the ending to be the most interesting as it took the story to a completely different level. I would like to purchase some more of your books as I feel more people should be exposed to your intriguing writing style.  I finished the book last night, and I have to say that I loved it! The characters were so relatable and it made me nostalgic for high school...and so much more!

 I had the book out during one of my art classes, and turns out this boy in my class knows you from Curly's...small world, he's gonna borrow the book! : )

 Your book is insane... I read the whole thing, start to finish, and I just got it in the mail today. That's a big deal for me... I don't read, at all. The only times I've read entire books was for school. The creativity and imagery involved is just ridiculous.

It's a great book and a trip ALL people should take...you're an amazing writer! ^.^ I can honestly say that I mention your book a shit load...thank you so much for writing the way you do...it's easy to imagine yourself in front row or looking through a window...I was actually scared for a while, a book had never scared me...and damn did I look stupid when I would laugh out loud while reading...especially at bus stops...

 I just read your book, and I cant believe it......that is the first book I have ever read like the whole thing except when I was in school and they mad you read but still that was out loud to the class and I have never been so into a book that I finish and not only that but I finished in like a day and a half...I was so into the book I almost crashed like 3 times. DEAR PETER,

 I just came down from a crazy little trip. Yes indeed it was a trip................... I was supposed to go to sleep early and get up at sunrise tomorrow to go take some photos. It is now 1:00 a.m., and I just unburied my head from the final pages of your book and was motivated enough by it to log on and write you a message of praise.

 Let me just say I am an avid book reader and I believe YOU COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT BETTER....... This book had everything.  There was the very comical come on, the teasing induced anxieties, leading to the frightening, heart racing climax, and coming to a screeching fall back to life.

WOW!!!!!!!!

 I'm sure your hearing all of this rambling from everyone, but truly great work. Your book was definitely a 21st century classic novel, and just your first......DAMN.

 Unlike most others, I am not a fan of the gory stuff, and I don't think I'd be able to sit through a movie of that caliber gore, but there wouldn't be a need to, because your lucid descriptions supplied my imagination better than a movie ever could.

 So I'd like to think that I got paid to read your book today. I was life guarding at the pool as usual, and took basically my entire 7 hour shift and read your book. Most involving book I have ever read. I felt like I was right there with everyone...and at one point I was considering stopping reading it, it was almost too intense. Seriously .. a masterpiece my friend. Crazy good. Without exaggeration, your book earned a place on my shelf between tom robbins and dan brown. It was easily as entertaining, possibly more, than both of them.

 I must say - you did an amazing job of painting a mental picture through out the entire book. This is the first book that I have ever read where I didn't even really need to use my imagination to create a visual for the scenery and the characters.

Note to all:

 Read the book! Purchase it, and read it, it is incredible.

In the past, only a new Tom Robbins book could keep me intrigued so much that I would not put it down, well, The Little White Trip changed that. I started it in the morning when the mailman dropped it off, took a break and put my swimsuit on, took it with me to Waikiki beach, and finished it up later that night- and I was intrigued the whole time.

Amazing, awesome... etc. read it.
